ACJS 55th Annual Meeting

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) being on February 13, 2018, ACJS has changed its Annual Meeting schedule ONLY FOR 2018.  For 2018, limited workshops and ACJS meetings will be held on Tuesday, 2/13, and Wednesday, 2/14.  All panels/roundtables will begin on Thursday, 2/15, and continue through Saturday, 2/17.  There will be no panel/roundtable presentations on Wednesday, 2/14.  When the schedule is posted on the ACJS website in early November, be sure to check your presentation times carefully.

Also, due to the Mardi Gras time of year, travel into New Orleans will be a challenge on the weekend before Mardi Gras, Monday, 2/12, and Tuesday, 2/13.  Please take this into consideration when booking your flights.  It is recommended that you book your hotel room as soon as possible as our room block will definitely sell out.  An overflow hotel has been obtained and the reservation link will be posted online on the ACJS website once the Hilton New Orleans Riverside room block is full. 

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER.  Given the change in schedule, onsite registration cannot begin until Thursday, 2/15.  You will save time and money by pre-registering.  Pre-Registration will be open until December 15, 2017.  Plan accordingly so that your payment reaches the National Office by that date if you pay by check.

Information will continue to be posted on the ACJS website to assist you in your travels to and from NOLA.

Finally, there will be NO PRINTED PROGRAMS available for the 2018 Annual Meeting.  Information will be posted on the ACJS website  and sent in emails to encourage you to print out the program from the ACJS Annual Meeting page early next year and to download the ACJS Mobile App.

PLEASE NOTE:  LCD projections will be available in the meeting rooms.  No overhead projectors or computers will be provided.  If you require an HDMI connection to the LCD projector, please bring a cable with you or contact our audio-visual provider prior to your session and request that one be provided for you.  The audio-visual contact number will be posted in the meeting mobile app.  Additional audio-visual equipment is the responsibility of the presenter.  Individuals wanting additional equipment must either bring equipment to the conference or make the necessary rental arrangements through the ACJS audio-visual provider.  Please contact the Association Manager for rental information – manager@acjs.org.

After December 15, 2017, all registrations will be conducted onsite.

*All Graduate Student registrations include a one-year membership to ACJS.  Please be sure to provide proof of graduate student status when registering.  If you have been granted a Free Ph.D. Student Membership or Free Graduate Student Membership in the past, you are not eligible to take advantage of this offer more than once.
